MB083-SL: SLpure Plus total RNA isolation kit using spin columns
Background
SLpure Plus total RNA isolation kit using spin columns is an advanced version of SLpure total RNA isolation reagent (catalog No. MB035-SL). It combines the advantage of mono-phasic total RNA extract reagent and the selective binding properties of the silica membrane and convenience of the spin column. The optimized high-salt buffer system allows up to 20 ?g of RNA no shorter than 200 bases to bind to the silica membrane.
SLpure total RNA isolation reagent, a mono-phasic solution of phenol and guanidine isothiocyanate, is a ready-for-use reagent to extract total RNA from a variety of cells and tissues. During sample homogenization or lysis, SLpure total RNA isolation reagent maintains RNA integrity while disrupting cells and dissolving cell components. Ethanol is used to optimize the binding condition for silica membrane based spin columns. The total RNA binds to the silica membrane while contaminants are efficiently washed away. High-quality RNA is obtained by elution with water or TE buffer.
